The Situation
A DIFC business had bought a commercial safe but had it standing unsecured on the floor of a back office. An unanchored safe is a portable safe, which undermines much of what it was bought for, and the factory default combination was still in place.
How We Approached It
We assessed the floor construction and chose an anchoring position that gave a solid fixing while keeping the safe practical to use day to day. Placement matters as much as the anchoring itself.
We bolted the safe securely to the structure so it cannot be carried out, then serviced the lock mechanism and replaced the factory default combination with a code known only to the authorised managers.
The Result
The safe is now genuinely fixed in place, set to a private combination, and tested through repeated locking cycles. The business also received clear guidance on periodic code changes and what to do if the lock ever becomes unresponsive.
